On November 8, Charleston County voters have the historic opportunity to transform the way people get around in the Lowcounty. The Transportation Referendum, put up to a vote, would provide $600 million for public transit, including for the construction of a Bus Rapid Transit system. Affectionately called "Light Rail on Tires," this system achieves the efficiency of Light Rail, at 1/6 the cost. With 50 people moving to the Charleston area every day, we have no time to waste to begin construction on this project. Please see our videos, come volunteer with us, and help us build the transportation we so desperately need in Charleston.
